Regarding the illegal activities of Seattle+Renton Police Depts
My first issue is that I believe my civil rights have been violated. Ibelieve the raid on Moon Temple and Sacred Temple was illegal, I believe the raid on MoonTemple and Sacred Temple violated the due process guaranteed to me prior to loosing my rightto access a religious opportunity of my choice. I believe myconstitutionally protected right to benefit from the spiritual activitiesoffered at Moon Temple/Sacred Temple have been illegally foreclosed and I feel it is myduty to hold the responsible parties accountable. In the case of a dispute, I believe the government is authorized to legallychallenge the sincerity of anyone claiming a religious status. This is aproper and legal responsibility of government when there is a controversy.Obliviously if someone claiming a religious status is not sincere, there isno real religious status in the first place. The government can question sincerity but from my reading of theconstitution the government is prohibited from establishing what isreligious and what is not religious. The government is not only NOTauthorized, they are actually forbidden from engaging in such establishmentactivities. Even the judicial branch of government is forbidden fromestablishing what is religious and what is not.Additionally the government is forbidden from interfering with the freeexercise of religion. Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom ofreligion. NO law means no law except in cases where other constitutionalrights might be impaired. No such condition existed with Moon Temple/Sacred Temple.Consenting adults, offering and agreeing to perform and receive a spiritualservice. Adults entering into lawful contracts for a religious service isnot the business of government..The right to freedom of religion is a civil right for all Americans. When the government, without proper authority, established Moon Temple/Sacred Temple as a brothel, it was done for the purpose ofavoiding or having to deal with constitutionally protected rights of theaccused. For the government to engage in this kind of establishmentactivity is a cunning attempt to do an end run around their responsibilitiesand an attempt to claim a jurisdiction that doesn't otherwise legally exist. Moreover, the raid on the Moon Temple/Sacred Temple, with battering rams and drawn guns, essentially caused the closure of the Temple's doors and at the same timeforeclosed my right to freedom of religious expression. They deprived others acessto benefit from the spiritual opportunities offered at MoonTemple/Sacred Temple. This is an additional violation of the law. When they battereddown the Temple door and arrested the Temple staff, it has the effect ofillegally impairing my contract to engage in a constitutionally protectedactivity. Their illegal actions serve to have a chilling effect on theconstitutional rights of all minority religions across the nation. All this seems to me to be an unlawful prior restraint to my civilliberties. The government did not follow due process, there was no judicialreview to determine sincerity etc. The police are not judges under theseparation of branches rules and it is not legal for the executive branch toact as judge and jury in any situation and especially not in religiousmatters..These unlawful actions on the part of law enforcement violated my civilrights and the civil rights of every American. There are laws on the bookswhich protect my civil rights from any and all sources including governmentagents that seek to violate the protected rights of American citizens. This brings me to my second issue of concern.I am currently exploring, along with other concerned individuals, thepossibility of bringing a class action suit against the illegal actions ofthe various police agencies and the various individuals involved in the MoonTemple/Sacred Temple raid. The police were properly notified that Moon Temple/Sacred Templeis a religious institution. It occurs to me that their actions werepurposeful and deliberate. When individual law enforcement agents makes amistake, they have immunity, but when they break the law deliberately, theirimmunity does not apply. When anyone is duly notified, as in the case ofMoon Temple/Sacred Temple, and they still take action in spite of that notification,it is to be considered a malicious action and not excusable.I am deeply damaged by the illegal actions of law enforcements.I also feel compelled to hold them accountable.Rainbow love, Temple Priestess
