Regarding the illegal activities of Seattle+Renton Police Depts

My first issue is that I believe my civil rights have been violated. I
believe the raid on Moon Temple and Sacred Temple was illegal, I believe the raid on Moon
Temple and Sacred Temple violated the due process guaranteed to me prior to loosing my right
to access a religious opportunity of my choice. I believe my
constitutionally protected right to benefit from the spiritual activities
offered at Moon Temple/Sacred Temple have been illegally foreclosed and I feel it is my
duty to hold the responsible parties accountable.

In the case of a dispute, I believe the government is authorized to legally
challenge the sincerity of anyone claiming a religious status. This is a
proper and legal responsibility of government when there is a controversy.
Obliviously if someone claiming a religious status is not sincere, there is
no real religious status in the first place.
The government can question sincerity but from my reading of the
constitution the government is prohibited from establishing what is
religious and what is not religious. The government is not only NOT
authorized, they are actually forbidden from engaging in such establishment
activities. Even the judicial branch of government is forbidden from
establishing what is religious and what is not.
Additionally the government is forbidden from interfering with the free
exercise of religion. Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of
religion. NO law means no law except in cases where other constitutional
rights might be impaired. No such condition existed with Moon Temple/Sacred Temple.
Consenting adults, offering and agreeing to perform and receive a spiritual
service. Adults entering into lawful contracts for a religious service is
not the business of government..
The right to freedom of religion is a civil right for all Americans.
When the government, without proper authority,
established Moon Temple/Sacred Temple as a brothel, it was done for the purpose of
avoiding or having to deal with constitutionally protected rights of the
accused. For the government to engage in this kind of establishment
activity is a cunning attempt to do an end run around their responsibilities
and an attempt to claim a jurisdiction that doesn't otherwise legally exist.
Moreover, the raid on the Moon Temple/Sacred Temple, with battering rams and drawn guns,
essentially caused the closure of the Temple's doors and at the same time
foreclosed my right to freedom of religious expression. They deprived others acess
to benefit from the spiritual opportunities offered at Moon
Temple/Sacred Temple. This is an additional violation of the law. When they battered
down the Temple door and arrested the Temple staff, it has the effect of
illegally impairing my contract to engage in a constitutionally protected
activity. Their illegal actions serve to have a chilling effect on the
constitutional rights of all minority religions across the nation.
All this seems to me to be an unlawful prior restraint to my civil
liberties. The government did not follow due process, there was no judicial
review to determine sincerity etc. The police are not judges under the
separation of branches rules and it is not legal for the executive branch to
act as judge and jury in any situation and especially not in religious
matters..
These unlawful actions on the part of law enforcement violated my civil
rights and the civil rights of every American. There are laws on the books
which protect my civil rights from any and all sources including government
agents that seek to violate the protected rights of American citizens.
This brings me to my second issue of concern.
I am currently exploring, along with other concerned individuals, the
possibility of bringing a class action suit against the illegal actions of
the various police agencies and the various individuals involved in the Moon
Temple/Sacred Temple raid.
The police were properly notified that Moon Temple/Sacred Temple
is a religious institution. It occurs to me that their actions were
purposeful and deliberate. When individual law enforcement agents makes a
mistake, they have immunity, but when they break the law deliberately, their
immunity does not apply. When anyone is duly notified, as in the case of
Moon Temple/Sacred Temple, and they still take action in spite of that notification,
it is to be considered a malicious action and not excusable.
I am deeply damaged by the illegal actions of law enforcements.
I also feel compelled to hold them accountable.
